A memory table at your wedding

Memory-table

Your wedding is a time to celebrate with your beloved family and friends. But if someone close to you passed away, planning a wedding knowing they can’t be there can bring back some grief. It is totally okay to experience sad moments during the planning process, but you should be happy on your wedding day. After all, a wedding is a celebration! And it is also totally okay to commemorate your departed loved ones at your wedding – many couples do it.

According to Bon Appetit Weddings coordinator Nancy Williams, you can set up a memory table at the reception.  Display anything from pictures to poems and personal items on the table to show how much meaning they’ve had in your life. It’s a respectful and touching way to honor your friends and family who have passed and it won’t dampen the mood of your very special day.
